Egg white is a core ingredient in our marshmallow and cannot be removed from the standard recipe.
Typical ingredients
Our base marshmallow recipe is made with egg whites, sugar, orange juice and agar-agar. Depending on the bouquet, it may also include natural colours and a considered mixture of natural and food-approved flavourings.
Flowers, flavours, colours and decorative details vary between arrangements. The ingredient label supplied with the finished product is the definitive list for that particular order.
Allergen information
The standard recipe contains EGG. We do not handle gluten-containing ingredients in the kitchen used to prepare OK Bouquet products.
However, ingredients and packaging are obtained from external suppliers. Unless expressly confirmed in writing for a specific order, we cannot guarantee that every supplier operates an allergen-free facility or eliminate every possibility of unintended trace contact before ingredients reach our kitchen.
Always contact us before ordering for someone with an allergy. We will provide the current product information and discuss whether the order is suitable. We may decline a request where we cannot manage the risk responsibly.
Dietary suitability
- Vegetarian: yes, based on the standard recipe.
- Vegan: no, because the recipe contains egg white.
- Gluten-containing ingredients: not handled in our preparation kitchen, subject to the supplier qualification above.
- Other dietary or sensory requests: please ask before ordering. A request is not agreed until we confirm it in writing.
Colours and flavourings
Colours used in our marshmallow flowers are natural. Flavourings may be natural or food-approved artificial flavourings, selected according to the bouquet and availability.
Flavours and individual flower styles are normally chosen to complement the photographed colour palette. You are welcome to share preferences, but exact flavours are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed.
British sourcing
Every arrangement is handmade in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We choose British-grown ingredients wherever a suitable British source is available. Some recipe essentials may be sourced from elsewhere when they cannot reasonably be grown or obtained in Britain.
Labels, storage and shelf life
Ingredient, allergen, storage and best-before information is supplied with each product. Please keep that information with the arrangement until it has been eaten.
Unless the product label says otherwise:
- keep the arrangement in its packaging at room temperature;
- protect it from moisture, heat and direct sunlight;
- do not refrigerate unless specifically instructed; and
- enjoy it within the best-before period, normally up to 10 days from preparation.
